All regular players here at GoWin will know by now that we make it our mission to launch great new games for you each and every week. This week we have an extra special treat, as we’re proudly bring you a total of three new exciting gaming titles from three of our favourite developer companies.
From Elk Studio’s star studded Bloopers slot to Realistic Games’ retro 8th Wonder and Scientific’s Zeus: God of Thunder, there’s a lot of variety in these new release. Yet, we’re convinced you’re going to love every one of them. While we announced their release at the start of the month, we thought we’d take this opportunity to fill you in a little more on these games.
No one likes to make mistakes, but in movies, the mistakes made in front of the camera can often become and iconic part of the lore surrounding great films. In celebration of this famous part of Hollywood, Elk Studios created the online and mobile slot masterpiece that is Bloopers – a 5 reel, 243 payline slot developed to honour those mistakes that just needed to happen.
The gameplay is characteristically high quality from Elk Studios, with great looking graphics and compelling characters. Each of the five bonus features – or Bloopers as they’re know in the game – are related to different characters, from either behind of in front of the camera, who have a role in the production of a film.
For instance, you’ve got the Sound Technician, who functions as a Wild, and a Stuntman who’ll provide you with extra wilds during bonus rounds. Then there’s the Leading Man and Diva characters who either provide expanding or sticky wilds. It’s all going wild on this film set!
Good things come in lots of eight… that's how the saying goes, right? Well, whether it is or not, that’s the philosophy that has been espoused by Realistic Games to create this retro themed video slot: 8th Wonder.
Stripping things down to their basics, 8th Wonder is simply a 3 reel game with only 5 paylines; the symbols are basic too, with the likes of gold bars, diamonds and rubies populating the reels. All in all, this looks like a classic fruit machine in almost all ways.
So what makes this game special? Well the hint is there in the name: eight is a very important number in this game. Despite having a relatively high volatility, which might put some players off, when this game does pay out, the minimum win is 8x stake. If you think that’s good, though, consider the fact that if you manage to land a full house of symbols, it will double your win up to a 160x Jackpot! So is it 8th Wonder or wonderful 8s?
While this game is being distributed by Scientific Games, its real origins lie with Williams Interactive. Anyone familiar with that company may have played some other of the games in the Zeus franchise of games (Zeus, Zeus 1000 and Zeus III), but this latest installment hands down beats all the others off with its updated graphics, super compelling theme, and new and unique game features. Why wouldn’t you want to be playing the best version of this games?
Featuring 5 reels and 20 paylines – like all the previous games in the series – has a similar aesthetic to its predecessors too, with ancient Greek styling and architecture visible in the background. The serious differences you’ll not are features like the extra spins round, where you can now claim up to 100 extra spins, or the fact there’s now a 5 tier bonus level jackpot system. This is certainly one to look out for.
All these games launch Thursday 10th August, so we'll see you around!
