Sweden World Cup Squad 2018: Players to Watch

The biggest surprise here was that Swedish footballing legend Zlatan Ibrahimović had been snubbed, and for many this means the end of his international career. Another missing player will be Jakob Johansson, who scored Sweden’s only goal in their qualifying play-off against Italy. Having sustained an injury in the second leg of the play-offs, he’s not recovered in time.

Another notable thing about Sweden’s proposed 23-man World Cup squad is that they’ll only be taking four strikers to Russia. Emil Forsberg will be the man to watch however, as he is a main stay in the Swedish side.
