Spain Squad

Handpicked by betting sites as one of the top teams in the competition, Spain’s national football team have announced the top 23 players it will bring to the World Cup 2018 in Russia. It’s quite the list and we feel sorry for whoever has to go up against Spain.

Even though all the teams have until 4th June to announce who they will take with them to the World Cup, Spain chose to do it a couple of weeks before that deadline so it has the upper hand, we reckon.

Let’s take a look at who we can expect to appear at the World Cup representing Spain:

  • Goalkeepers: Rico, De Gea, Reina
  • Defenders: Piqué, Odriozola, Ramos, Alba, Monreal, Nacho, Carvajal, Azpilicueta, Martinez
  • Midfielders: Busquets, Iniesta, Alcantara, Silva, Asensio, Isco, Koke
  • Forward: Vazquez, Aspa, Moreno, Costa

As you can clearly tell, this is quite the line-up and whoever has to face off against Spain in the World Cup should worry as we have a fair few top players among the ranks here. Suso and Asensio in particular are the ones to watch.

Lopetegui has certainly chosen some fine young men to represent Spain. We can only watch and wait in anticipation as the World Cup draws near.
