Serbia Squad

Serbia have been drawn in a pretty tough group at the World Cup alongside joint tournament favourites Brazil, Switzerland and Costa Rica. The Serbia players will have to be at the top of their games throughout the group stage to progress.

Serbia’s head coach during their successful qualifying campaign was Slavoljub Muslin. In spite of finishing first in their group, he was sacked, not exactly a nice way of thanking Muslin for his efforts! Serbia’s coach for the World Cup will be Mladen Krstajic.

Serbia World Cup 2018 Squad, The Likely Inclusions

Serbia have been pretty quiet with who they will pick in their World Cup squad, but there is a provisional Serbia squad, and here it is in full:

Goalkeepers: Marko Dmitrovic, Predrag Rajkovic, Vladimir Stojkovic

Defenders: Dusan Basta, Branislav Ivanovic, Aleksandar Kolarov (captan), Nikola Maksimovic, Matija Nastasic, Ivan Obradovic, Antoinio Rukavina, Dusko Tosic, Milos Veljkovic

Midfielders: Marko Grujic, Filip Kostic, Adem Ljajic, Nemanja Maksimovic, Nemanja Matic, Luka Milivojevic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Dusan Tadic, Andrija Zivkovic

Forwards: Aleksandr Mitrovic, Aleksandr Prijovic

Serbia have some talented and experienced players in their squad and we think they are going to join Brazil in the knockout stages from Group E. The likes of Ivanovic, Kolarov and Matic are all players who know what it takes to win.
