Philippe Coutinho

Philippe Countinho Correia, or more commonly known as Coutinho is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a winder and an attacking midfielder. Those of you who have been following Premier League games for a while now, or Liverpool games in specific, would know how Coutinho has forged his path to become of the most successful players in the history of football.

Signed by Liverpool at the price of £8.5 million in January 2013 to play in the Premier League, Coutinho proved himself to be a core part of the team in no time. In fact, he was given the nickname Little Magician by other players and fans. Soon after, Philippe Coutinho went on to be named in the 2015 PFA Team of the Year. Coutinho currently plays for Barcelona.

Internationally, Coutinho has been making appearances for Brazil from the under 14 team onwards. Throughout his international career, he has consistently performed and is now officially part of the 23 man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

To be frank, we think that Philippe Coutinho will not be tasked with scoring. His role within the Brazilian team will most likely be to head attacks and look for opportunities within the defenses of their opponents. That said, we feel that Coutinho stands a much higher chance in winning awards other than the Top Goalscorer.

In this article, we will thoroughly study the style of play of Philippe Coutinho and the odds for him taking home different awards including the most sought after Top Goalscorer at the World Cup.
