Mexico has been considered as one of the best football teams in the world while at the same time they’ve dropped out from the World Cup in the round of 16 for six consecutive tournaments.
Such a success fueled the doubts everyone has for this team, but this year it seems that Mexico might finally break the tradition and at least advance to the quarter-finals.
Mexico Squad Football — World Cup 2018
In World Cup 2018, Mexico is coached by Juan Carlos Osorio, a Colombian former player and coach who has coached various clubs from Colombia, Brazil and the United States before.
While leading the national team is new for him, he is doing that since 2015 and as his contract draws to an end, he’ll undoubtedly try to do his best with Mexico in FIFA World Cup 2018.
The Mexican squad this year includes almost 30 men. At least some of these names you will undoubtedly recognize:
- Javier Hernández
- Raúl Jiménez
- Héctor Herrera
- Erick Gutiérrez
- Tecatito Corona
- Edson Álvarez
Although Mexico will meet serious challenges in their World Cup group, the team has a fair chance of advancing and reaching quarter-finals again after a long period of mediocre performances.
