The World Cup is near, and you may be wondering where, aside from the comfort of your own front room, you could watch the tournament unfold.
If you’re living in the Leicester area and want to find an excellent venue to watch all World Cup 2018 games in, you’ve come to the right place. Today we’re going to show you the best places in the city to watch the competition.
Here’s a list of all the best outlets in which to watch the World Cup.
De Montfort University Campus
The rumours appear to be true. University bosses have stated they will show games from the World Cup in Russia on a big 34 square metre TV screen on the side of the Vijay Patel Building on the university campus.
This means you can watch the game outdoors with no worries about space or being able to see the screen. In a crowded pub, this is more likely to be a problem.
While it’s yet to be confirmed, the university hopes to show all the scheduled England matches against Tunisia, Panama and Belgium on this big screen. If you’re a student in particular, this would be a great way to view the matches.
The Locker Room
This American sports-inspired bar also offers footie fans the chance to watch the World Cup live. With a whopping total of 21 screens, you won’t ever have a problem viewing the match as you sit among the countless memorabilia.
Located on Belvoir Street, there’s also pool as well as darts to enjoy alongside the football games. Food is also served at select times with a full menu that customers can peruse at their leisure.
Expect plenty of burgers, pizzas and salads. Get there on a Sunday and you could even enjoy their famous Sunday brunch.
