Australia Squad

Australia went a long way to qualify for FIFA World Cup 2018 this year. 22 qualification matches played, 14 wins and only two losses. It’s the best result the team has achieved internationally and with a new coach to guide them, the team hopes to advance from the group stage for the second time.

It’s the fifth time Australia will participate in the World Cup and they’re doing it with an experienced coach this time around.

Their previous trainer Postecoglou decided to step down despite a number of successes. There were many reasons for it, one of which might have been a pretty unsuccessful performance in the previous World Cup.

Anyway, the place was taken by Bert van Marwijk, a Dutch coach who managed the Netherlands in 2010 when they reached the final and lost to Spain, becoming runners-up of the World Cup that year.

The question is, how far can he lead the Australians this summer? There are several important players that we see in the squad of Australia national team.

These include Tim Cahill, Aaron Mooy, Tom Rogic and Matthew Jurman, among others. They all will be needed in perfect shape to stand a chance in World Cup 2018.
